Jillian Tamaki is an illustrator and comics artist from Canadian Prairies. Currently in Brooklyn, NY where she’s teaching at School of Visual Arts and carve out a decent living making illustrations for magazines, newspapers, websites, and books.
These three book covers were embroidered by hand over the course of 2 months. Three books were a lot to pull off, but I am such a sucker for classic literature and book illustration… how could I say no? The covers will be sculptural-embossed and are full wraparound images with french flaps (click the small picture to enlarge). They will be available for sale in October, 2011.
